Most punk/hardcore records these days wouldn’t stand the test of being shelved for four years, yet Acursed’s long-delayed Tunneln I Ljusets Slut stands in defiance of such a notion. This epic album of d-beat punk could easily be declared among the best of the last 5 years (if not more) and the thought that such a great release came close to never being heard by most boggles the mind. Balancing the punk abrasiveness perfectly against an underlying melodic sensibility, Acursed created something that clearly has stood the test of time.
